My stores....

This is more for me then anyone else, but I liked that I blogged about this last year so I could just look back to see what I had canned and if it was enough! This year I have 110 pints of salsa (I only had to buy onions!!!). I planted 8 tomato plants 4 Roma and 4 slicers, but one of the slicers did not make it. I planted 12 green pepper plants and was blessed by the bounty of others for my hot peppers. I have around 42 quarts of grape juice. Once again the bounty of others!!! I did two generous bushels of purple and 7 quarts of white. With a big THANK YOU to Laurie I have 23 pints of apple sauce (glad we did it twice) which is being eaten faster then I thought, so think of all the extra fun we can have next year:) (and 2 quarts of apple pie filling which is almost to pretty to eat.) Went a little crazy on the peaches this year 55 quarts of peaches we just missed having enough last year. 10 quarts of pears. I will give them one more chance, but if they don't improve I don't know if I will do pears again. And I STILL have 14 bottles of pickles. I hope if you do read through this you enjoyed your canning season as much as me:)

My Trip to Colorado

Eric had the opportunity to come to Colorado to redo his brother's roof. We all thought it would be a fun trip for the whole family, so we all decided to come. Eric has his contractor accounts at home and decide we could save quite a bit of money if we bought our shingles at home and brought them with us. We headed out in the big truck with a heavy load thinking we are going to be on the road for a long time, but we made it to our halfway point in record time (we had a little motivation we were trying to beat Laurie here). Mostly I think it was because the boys are bigger now and we just didn't need to stop as much. Eric and I had talked about staying on the freeway the whole way instead of taking the hwy cut off that we normally do, but when it came time to decide the freeway had been closed and we had to take the hwy. The kids were comfortable and everything was going great until we cam over the top of a hill and around a curve then this happened.

Thankfully everyone is just fine. It was our whole family in our truck and a couple and their two dogs in the other truck. I know that we are fine because of the fast thinking of Eric and we had prayed before we left so that we would be safe. We were truly blessed not even bruises from the seat belts.

Anyone interested????

I know it has been a while since I have posted anything and I am hoping to get some response back on this one, and there just may not be to many lookers:(

Anyway I am just wondering if anyone (or how many) would be interested in a wii bowling league. Before you just say HECK YA please consider that it would be a comitment. I am hoping to have teams of 2 and do it on Friday night for date night maybe like once a month and go for about a year. To start it off I was thinking about a kick off dinner one night and bowl for our average. Then on our bowling night two teams (couples) would get together and have a night of bowling and fun.

If anyone has suggestions or tips on how to do this I would also love to hear those.

Look forward to your comments:)

Disclaimer: A wii or wii remotes are not required to play but may be fun to bowl with your own remote and mii.

A step in the right direction!!

Ladies it has been a long time since I have done anything like this:) I was going to take pictures and totally forgot. OH MAN... At least this is a step in the right direction;) SO here is the break down, Marci won the GRAND prize of dinner, movie, and bunko for next month. I have just cleaned up the punches since I gave out table prizes and I totally can not remember who I gave them too??? (they are $15 walkers certificates if anyone is wondering) But Natasha won traveler (and I think a table prize), and Annie got the loser prize. The last two prizes where the same a basket of candy and a redbox rental). Enjoy!!!

For our treat we had a Chocolate Cherry Cake:

2 eggs
1 tsp. almond extract
1 can cherry pie filling

mix all ingredients together and bake at 350 for 35-40 min in 9 X 13 (28-33 min in 10 X 15)

Frosting
1 c. sugar
1/3 c. milk
1/3 c. butter
1 c. chocolate chips

mix sugar, milk, and butter until all mixed together then add chocolate chips until melted. pour over cooled cake.

What......

So Parker has a little bit of a flare for the dramatic (I have no idea where he gets it:) but he has done and said a couple of cute things lately that leave me thinking WHAT....... I love to tell these funny stories about my Parker and I do want to remember these moments so I am posting these stories here:) The 1st funny story happened the first day at church after T.J. came home from the hospital. The Wii is a big motivator at are house and we told Parker he could only play the Wii after church IF he was reverent, so as soon as he got home from church he came running into me telling me he was reverent the 2nd time!!!! I immediately thought he was kicked out of class so I asked him if he was kick out of class (This is the funny part but you are going to have to imagine the actions in your head) he told while kicking his leg that he was not kicked out of class but that he was put out of class, this he said while pretending to put his hands on someones shoulders and put them out of class.

This next story of Parkers is even more WHAT....He came home from school the other day and told me he had gotten a bloody nose that day at school. As all curious mothers would I asked him how he got it he told me that he was trying to stop another boy from playing with Kylee. He fell on this boy and hit his nose on his head and got a bloody nose:) Why is my 5 year old fighting over girls already?

I figured out the Camera:)

Sorry it took me a min (OK a few hours) to figure out this new camera. But here are some pictures of our new little guy Thomas John complete with Papa Kelly's nose and Aunt Laurie's lips:) So needless to say I will figure out photobucket (or whatever it is an other night!!!!

HE'S HERE!!!!

We have had a big week here at the Morrill house! It started with the boys going to Grandma E's house for a sleep over because Eric and I had to be to the hospital by 6:15 in the morning to get ready for my C-section. It was great Annie was there to get me prepped and prepared for what was going to happen!!!!!! It was good to have a translator there to help me through all the drug lingo and I have gotten sick after both my other babies so Annie new there was something to help with that and I didn't even come close to throwing up on my new baby:) So our T.J. (Thomas John) came like the others did no real problems and healthy I am the luckiest mom alive!!! He is just a little guy 7 lbs. and 19 1/4 inches (I forgot how small they are when they come), but a great sleeper. If you catch this before I get some pictures up know they are coming, so check back again soon:)
